Datadog

Overview

You can connect your Datadog organization to Cloudchipr to track and analyze your costs in Billing Explorer. Once connected, you can group and view costs by dimensions such as:

• Organization
• Account
• Product name
• Product family
• Region

Connect Datadog

To connect Datadog, follow these steps:

1. Create an API Key in Datadog
   1. Go to your Datadog console.
   2. Open the API keys page.
   3. Click Create API Key.
   4. Copy the generated key and paste it into the** API Key** field in Cloudchipr.
2. Create an Application Key in Datadog
   1. In the Datadog console, open the Application Keys page.
   2. Click New Key.
   3. Configure the Application Key with the following setting:
      1. Scope: usage_read
   4. Copy the generated key and paste it into the Application Key field in Cloudchipr.
3. Enter Organization Name
   1. Enter the Organization Name you want to display in Cloudchipr.

      📘

      This is a friendly label to help identify your Datadog organization across the platform.

4. Connect
   1. After filling in all fields, click Connect.

Once connected, the Datadog integration will appear in the Collecting Data state. When data collection is complete, you will be able to view and analyze your Datadog costs in Billing Explorer.
